2026-02-10Second International Meeting of Poets of the World in Italy

From Friday, June 12 to Saturday, June 20, 2026
Since its founding in October 2005, the Meeting of Poets of the World has become a luminous bridge between cultures, bringing together voices from different continents under the motto “For Peace and the Preservation of the Environment.” Year after year, its journeys—born in Chile and later extended to other countries—have evolved into a living voyage of words, a profound gesture of respect for life in all its forms.
In September 2019, the First Meeting of Poets of the World in Italy was held, organized by poet Stefano Caranti, national secretary of the movement. That experience carried poetry through Florence, Ferrara, Rovigo, Venice, and Verona, tracing a poetic river across cities that breathe art, history, and memory.
In 2026, the meeting will once again take flight on Italian soil. The inaugural event will be held in Rome, bringing together poets from around the world in a space of dialogue, creation, and fraternity. From there, the journey will continue through Florence, Bologna, Ferrara, and Rovigo, culminating in a closing ceremony at the Candiani Cultural Center in Venice, where the spoken word will find its final breath among canals, mist, and ancient silences.
